This 100% natural, eco-friendly mineral media serves as a direct replacement for traditional silica sand. Its rough, highly porous structure provides a surface area 100 times greater than sand, trapping contaminants down to an ultra-fine 3 microns. Beyond fine sediment, ZeoSand removes ammonia ions through advanced natural molecular sieving. This eliminates the formation of eye-irritating chloramines and unpleasant chemical odors while cutting down on expensive shock treatments. Because it holds more particulate debris, it drastically reduces backwashing times and saves water.
